Our Federation Values and Aims
We strive to ensure that our children receive the very highest standards of education within nurturing, distinctive Christian community. Our school values of Joy, Love, Respect, Forgiveness, Self-Discipline and Truthfulness form the central pillar, running through all aspects of school life and they, in turn, are framed within the two great commandments of loving God and loving our neighbour. We recognise that all children are precious and unique and celebrate the special talents that each person brings to our school, working in partnership with home, parish and the wider community to help the children grow so that they are able to follow in God’s footsteps.

Our Curriculum and Teaching
- Are rooted in the belief that all pupils should enjoy learning and can be successful
- Inspire and challenge learners of all abilities and strive to remove any barriers
- Allow teachers to use their deep subject knowledge and pedagogical skill to engage children as partners in learning, acting quickly to adjust their teaching in response to pupils’ needs
- Develop children’s skills and mastery of areas of study so that they can apply what they have learnt in any subject across the whole of their learning
- Develop a sense of ‘flow’ in lessons where pupils are able to work with autonomy and skill so that they are motivated to produce high quality work
- Excite pupils’ imaginations and emphasise the interconnectedness of learning
- Promote independence of thought and creativity of mind through a wide range of learning approaches
- Provide high quality, timely feedback to both pupils and staff allowing all to better understand how to further improve
- Draw in parents as their child’s co-educators, engaging them and increasing their capacity to support their child’s learning.

We believe that through Jesus God embodied the importance of respecting all; regardless age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief. We seek to ensure that these same values are held dear to all our pupils so that they can live their lives as God would want them to.
this includes both self-respect, and respect for others, their views and their property. Child speak: to expect that people will listen to you and know that people won’t think your ideas and questions are silly; to listen when other people are talking, including each other; understand that we are all different and our differences make us special.
‘Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must forgive others.’ Colossians 3.13
In our school we believe that in order for us to truly love our neighbour and become full members of our society we need to follow in God’s footsteps in forgiving others as we would like them to forgive us.
this includes adults actively modeling the need to forgive and be forgiven themselves. Child speak: we understand that people make mistakes, but when things go wrong, we expect them to say sorry and mean it and then we get over it and move on.
Love and compassion–
‘This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.’ John 15.12
We foster teaching and thinking that allows and ensures that all children are able to love God and love their neighbour. This is fundamental to all aspects of school life including the behavioral policy.
Child speak: God loves us because He made us, and we are trying to live our lives as Jesus teaches us. This means loving God, loving each other, and loving ourselves.
- Self-discipline and perseverance –
‘And let us not grow weary of doing good.’ Galatian 6.9
We believe that children can follow in the example set by Jesus in order to persevere in life to be the best they can be.this includes independent learning, perseverance, thought before action. Child speak: take responsibility for your own learning and try to make good choices at all times. When managing your strong feelings think about how what you do will affect other people and yourself.
- Joy and Thankfulness –
‘Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and sing joyful songs of praise’ Palms 95.2
We believe that God would want all children and adults to experience great joy in their lives so that they can become spiritualy rich, well rounded individuals that have a high self–esteem and are inspired to achieve well. For that we should be thankful to God and those around us.this includes celebrating our Christian heritage, a positive attitude to learning and friendships, and creating a welcoming, happy and safe environment. Child speak: being glad to be part of God’s family; trying to find the good in everything and always looking on the bright side; doing as the adults ask you quickly and happily.
- Truthfulness -
'tell the truth to each other’ Zechariah 8.16
Being truthful about our actions as well as being true to God is a cornerstone for children in our school and impacts on all aspects of what we do. Child speak: we all do things that are wrong but it is right that we ask each other and God for forgiveness and then we can put things right and start over.Note: This is a new value for our school and has not yet been shared with the children.
